Spurwink Services' Treatment Foster Care program is seeking a dynamic individual to become the newest member of our team as Support Specialist. The person in this role will provide one on one support to children in foster care services as well as supervise visits between children and birth families. The hours of this position will be predominantly afterschool (orientation is two weeks during the day). This is a per-diem position that could work into a full-time position for those who would be interested.
Duties:
The Treatment Foster Care Support Staff (TFCSS) works as a team member, providing service plan driven support to children as well as supervising visits between children and their birth families. The TFCSS completes documentation and participates in regular supervision.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree strongly encouraged and Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have 1 or more years experience working in an educational or social service environment with direct contact with children, clients or families.
