PART-TIME Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager for 6
month contract in Williamsburg, VA. MUST be PMP certified through the PMI AND have previous VA state work experience. 20/hrs week - must work onsite - flexible business hour schedule. This position is for the planning and implementation of the IT infrastructure and the Departmental Move at one of Virginia's museums. The Project Manager should adhere to the VA Commonwealth laws, executive orders, policies, standards and guidelines which establish the project management environment.
Job Requirements
o 11-14 years' work experience in IT project management and/or IT management.
o Must have successfully performed as a Project Manager for at least one project with a total cost over $2,000,000.
o Has previous experience successfully completing a project pursuant to the Commonwealth's Project Management Standard.
o PMP certification through PMI OR qualified as a Commonwealth IT Project Manager with a completed Project Manager Qualification Record.
o 10 years' experience with Infrastructure Project Management involving large/complex projects.
o 5 years' experience with Microsoft Project; familiarity with other project management tools and/or software packages.
o Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
o Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
o Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
o Experience with the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) tool is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
o Manage project development from execution to closure.
o Develop and prepare detailed planning documents in accordance with the Commonwealth's Project Management Standard.
o Point of contact for all day-to-day project operations.
o Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
o Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and master schedule to link subprojects
o Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
o Conduct project team meetings
o Micro-manage tasks of project team and vendors
o Consolidate project team status reports for executive stakeholders
o Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
o Effectively manage project scope, schedule and budget by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved through the change management process.
o Track and report on project milestones and provide internal status reports in addition to Commonwealth of Virginia status report as identified in the planning process.
o Coordinate Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) reviews for project performance.
o Determine how results will be measured and complete a post project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
o Conduct monthly Internal Agency Oversight Committee (IAOC) meetings.
o Maintain/update risk register.
o Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete the project closeout report.
o Document lessons learned.

- $68-70 hourly rate is 1099 pay rate; you must meet criteria to be eligible for 1099 option. W2 pay option is available at lower pay rate.
- Background check and drug screening is required.
- Copy of PMP certificate and number is required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
