Responsible for the coordination and supervision of all fixed route and deviated fixed route transportation operations of the Radford Transit System. Performs supervisory and dispatching duties including but not limited to, supervising dispatchers and operations assistants, scheduling all staff, training drivers, evaluating drivers, monitoring and evaluating route services, performing billing and fare collection duties, and a variety of other transit operational functions within a dynamic and high energy operation. Position is forty (40) hours per week with excellent benefits. (Employment is contingent upon federal/state funding and the continuation of employment is based on the availability of these funds)
Qualified applicants will have any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate's degree, and considerable experience in transit dispatching and/or vehicle operations and training. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent computer skills and knowledge in standard office products with effective organization and document design skills. Must possess the ability to maintain positive effective working relationships with others, have excellent personal and team organization skills and excellent customer relations skills. Applicants must possess a valid Virginia Driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must have or be able to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsement within 60 days of employment (Training provided). Successful candidates must pass a pre-employement drug & alcohol screening and comply with all FTA Drug and Alcohol guidelines. Standard working hours vary dependent upon operational requirements.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
