IT Senior Business Systems Analyst

Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable SQL Server systems and industry requirements; Devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results; Develop requirements analysis, using case reviews, analyzing fit/gap analysis, developing functional designs, and developing business process re-engineering; Conduct critical design reviews with customers; Guide and advise less-experienced Business Systems Analysts; Facilitate meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions; Analyze and document client's business requirements and processing and communicate these requirements by constructing conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates from organization; Collaborate with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions; Provide input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and developing business specifications to support these modifications; Create test scenarios and develop test plans to be used in testing the ASP.Net based business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design; Assist in analyzing testing results using VB.Net throughout the project; Participate in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out using JCL Jobs and COBOL programs through the entire project; Assist in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects using Visual Basic, problem tickets and provide support to other team members; Provide support, escalating response to production problem issues and errors, and perform root cause analysis and application resolution; Provide on call second-level escalation response for client issues and problem tickets; Assist in providing time estimates for project-related tasks; and Lead and conduct conference room pilots and demonstrations.
Location: 2571 Product Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309
Salary: $78,424 per year.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Programmer Analyst Senior Professional, Associate Manager, Programmer Analyst, or in a related occupation.
Experience must include use of ASP.NET, VB.NET, Visual Basic, JCL, COBOL, and SQL Server.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
