Journeyman Millwright Mechanic
This Millwright position will support the mill operation. Successful candidates must be self-motivated, safety conscious and able to work as a team with both maintenance and production employees.
Responsibilities include but not limitted to:
In the course of work, millwrights are required to move, assemble and install machinery and equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors, and tram rails, using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
Millwrights are also involved in routine tasks, such as lubrication of machinery, bearing replacement, seal replacement, cleaning of parts during an overhaul and preventative maintenance.
Successful completion of a federally-approved Millwright Apprenticeship program or has the Journeyman equivalent skill level with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar mechanical field.
A minimum of 5 years experience as a multi-skilled mechanic (industrial experience preferred).
Experience with equipment associated with a pulp and paperboard operations such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, etc.
Must have a good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, and all of the components involved in these processes, such as valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors.
Requires working within precise limits or standards of accuracy, the use of logical step-by-step procedures in work; planning, solving problems and decision-making based on quantifiable information.
Familiar working with a wide array of precision tools, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical and laser alignment tooling.
Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Construct foundations for and to assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment, using hand and power tools.
Must possess or be willing and capable of learning and utilizing secondary maintenance skills such as pipefitting and welding.
Willing and able to use all skills in a true teamwork environment in order to safely accomplish work with minimal supervision.
Starting Pay Rate is $28.34 per hour . All job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment physical examination, including drug test, and a satisfactory background check. Clearwater Paper offers an excellent benefit package upon successful completion of the probationary period.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
