Peak Performers is currently seeking a Systems Analyst for a 6 to 18 month contract assignment in Austin Texas at Texas A&M University (TAMU). The System Analyst will perform duties for the Power Line-Caused Wildfire Mitigation Program including C+
and database programming.
This includes designing, developing and testing computer applications, analyzing complex problems and proposing solutions.
Responsible for basic administration of Linux, windows machines and database server.
Also included is administration and troubleshooting of embedded devices, creating documents, reports, and presentation related to design and analysis.
Position will also supervise up to three student workers.
Minimum Requirements:
2 years of experience with programming and/or system analysis
1 year experience with databases
1 year experience working on Linux based systems
Preferred
Experience:
3 years of experience with programming and Object oriented programming
1 year experience with C+
programming, debugging and design on Linux, knowledge of STL
1 year experience with MySQL and database interfaces
1 year experience with networking and virtual machines
Term of Service: ASAP to December 15, 2015. Total estimated hours between 1000 to 2000 with an average 40 hour week. 6 to 18 month assignment.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
Location: Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
Compensation: $43.00 to $45.50 per hour. Contractor may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate and must be coordinated and pre-approved through TAMU. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
