Our client, a privately-held Product Distribution, Logistics, and e-Commerce Company is looking for a VP of Operations to plan, direct, and coordinate operations in support of the company's growth, while positively impacting the organization's bottom line.

Our client is looking for a VP of Operations with a proven track recordof creating and executing strategies for improving operation efficiency across the organizational chart. This person will have developed control systems to ensure accountability and will have built strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders within a nimble, fast paced distribution environment.

As the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for:
Optimizing the value of the business consistent with agreed upon company goals and objectives;
Evaluating and assessing that all potential new product categories and/or business strategies are consistent with the overall strategy of the business. Work with the CFO on modeling to ensure ROI and cash flow metrics for new product investments. Decisions will result in meeting and/or exceeding profitability and growth;
Building organization structures and business processes within the company for maximizing operations throughout the organization, increasing net profitability, increasing efficiency and speed, and making this a repeatable core competency of the organization;
Creating meaningful measurements for the company to decrease carbon footprint and focus on sustainability;
Optimizing inventory investment, while balancing customer requirements and lead time expectations;
Encouraging a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous learning, mentoring, and employee growth in order to maximize employee performance. Setting quantifiable expectations for direct reports, and holding accountable team for meeting or exceeding those expectations;
Maintaining corporate legal compliance, contract review and negotiation while keeping company compliant with applicable safety regulations, state and deferral personnel regulatory compliance, ensuring overall facility, infrastructure and employee security;
Maximizing current asset utilization while reducing costs and improving net profitability;
Working with the Executive Team to analyze gross profit trends, and identify areas where the company should pull back, or the company should be increasing investment, depending on trend; and
Increasing communication within and between teams and ensure all employees are aware of their unique impact to the business, and creating ROI for all new hires. Reviewing, planning, and optimizing of employee benefit plans and personnel policies/practices to ensure alignment with the best-place-to-work set of values.

Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's degree required / MBA preferred
10
years of total experience and 5 years' experience in a senior operational role within a product distribution company
Direct responsibility for Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehousing/Inventory, Supply chain, HR and Technology
Proven ability to achieve financial results and business growth
Great communications skills
Focus on customer service and track record of dealing with high level customer relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and experience influencing and facilitating cross-functional teams
Strong negotiation skills
Experience, knowledge, and interest in new technology with expert level of Excel experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
