Position Description/Requirements
Dow Corning is seeking Chemical Engineering students for the Alternating Work Study (AWS) program. AWS positions allow students to work at our Carrollton, Kentucky manufacturing plant for multiple rotations. These rotations provide students with hands-on work experience and a challenging project. Students will work in the following areas throughout their rotations: Manufacturing, Reliability, Startup, Safety and Environmental, and the Process Technology Development laboratories. Students will be assigned challenging projects aligned to the student's current level of coursework and skills. Projects may include one or more of the following areas:
o Develop new materials to meet customer needs
o Research and develop new analytical techniques
o Perform application testing for new product commercialization
o Design or modify a new or existing process
o Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine root cause, recommend corrective action, and implement solution
o Optimize processing conditions to reduce quality defects
o Scale up new products from the lab to small scale manufacturing
o Learn and apply Six Sigma methodology

Required
Qualifications:
o Pursuing Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering
o Completion of sophomore or junior year of college
o Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 (no rounding)

o Must work full-time (40 hours a week)
o Proof, upon hire, of unrestricted U.S. employment authorization is required. Unrestricted work status is defined as: Work authorization that has no end date or specific employer restrictions. Employment based visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
