Transmission Line Engineer
The Power Division of our North American EPC engineering client is looking for experienced Transmission Line engineers for key contributions to expanding T&D Power Delivery group.
Locations: Lake Mary FL, Royersford PA

Preparation of conceptual design options, economic conductor selection design analysis on PLS CADD and the preparation of staking sheets, material lists, framing details and stringing requirements.
Preparation of specifications and scope documents for construction bids and contracts.
You will also be responsible for liaison with clients and contractors, coordinating with various disciplines and permitting agencies, and acting as a mentor for junior Engineers. We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects, with the liberty to take on a project management role as desired.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE as appropriate), those who are eligible for registration within one year may be considered
Minimum of 4 years experience in the design of transmission lines in wood, steel pole and/or lattice towers
Geotechnical data interpretation experience
Experience working with survey and geomatics staff
Candidates with the following will be preferred:
PLS-CADD (Power Line Systems - Computer Aided Design and Drafting) experience
Periodic onsite construction support experience
Project management experience
Structure grounding experience
Lightning performance, corona and field effects of transmission lines
Cathodic protection design for structure foundations
Experience with pipeline induction studies and related software
Conductor selection and optimization
Fiber optic cable design
Experience with environmental agencies and/or regulatory authorities
Salary: DOE. Relocation assistance available. Must be authorized to work in US.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
