Responsibilities for the Manager
Oversight of daily welding operations in multiple facilities as it pertains to welding processes and procedures as well a record keeping of all welding operations
Manage production planning in cooperation with multiple sites within the organization to best support customer demands
Maintain and support the welding quality program and the processes and document control systems in place and make recommendation for improvement
Insure that current AWS Section 9 criteria is met in all welding departments
Ability to deal with major industrial industrial customer on commercial and technical issues in a professional manner
Insure all welder qualifications and continuity requirements are met on their proper scheduled intervals and to work with division mangers to insure compliance
Work with welding engineering to establish new welding PQR's and new processes and procedures as required by customer requirements
Requirements for the Manager
5
years experience in a supervisory capacity in a heavy industrial environment managing a weld program
Certified Welding Inspector certification required
Must display proficiency in managing a section 9 compliant welding program
Should possess a proficiency in TIG, MIG Stick and automated welding processes and procedures
Minimum of 5 years documented experience in a welding environment involving multiple welding disciplines
Ability to train employees in new welding processes and techniques
