POSITION SUMMARY
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides care and counseling to persons experiencing changes in their physical and/or emotional health. This involves utilization of the nursing process, mileau management, and leadership. The Registered Nurse provides a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and treatment team. Insures that Nursing Practice Standards, Mission Standards and institutional goals are met and patient care is delivered in an individualized manner, expressing dignity and respect for each patient. Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires and as requested by supervisor. Must be capable of caring for all age groups over 5 years.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
2. Registered with theCommonwealthofVirginia.
