In this position, you will have the opportunity to bring your exceptional software experience to bear in collaboration with like-minded teams of software artisans. We expect you to have a direct impact in many of the following areas:
development and deployment of High-performance Big Data Analytics systems,
the modernization of systems,
delivery methodology,
pursuit of extreme automation in continuous integration and testing (DevOPS, NoOPS)
We seek someone with proven IT project management experience to: manage software development and support team members; provide technical management and strategy consulting; and provide enterprise architecture consulting.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include managing a team of 2-5 senior developers
Interfacing with client management, peer managers, and additional contractors
Maintaining an active presence, remove roadblocks, and perform key coordination tasks throughout the project lifecycle
Act as Scrum Master, and potentially proxy Product Owner.
Developing and maintaining the project plan including estimates, schedules, resources, and release criteria also performance measurments
Coordinating with Infrastructure Operations
Qualifications:
Agile principles with Scrum practice
Previous hands-on development experience
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
10 years of IT experience
3 years experience managing full life cycle software development efforts
Experience with MS Project
Good understanding of databases and data warehousing
Working knowledge of current technology
Proven ability to manage concurrent software development efforts using established practices
Applicants MUST be a Permanent Resident or U.S. citizen and able to obtain a government clearance
Preferred Skill and
Experience:
Familiarity with complex technical software development environments
Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, parallel relational databases, column-oriented databases, and High-performance ETL
