Managing and directing all shop floor operations including quality, accuracy, performance standards and safety;
Ensuring cost of production, inventory, shipping and receiving are achieved through appropriate subordinates;
Preparing reports to higher management on the status of operations;
Developing and maintaining active cost, scrap, rework and extra work reduction programs;
Coordinating manufacturing schedules and ensuring necessary raw materials and supplies;
Overseeing maintenance of machinery, equipment and buildings, and plant security and protection.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree required; Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
10
years of experience in manufacturing including at least 4 years in a higher level supervisory capacity;
Broad, in-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee/labor relations, and standard cost and financial controls;
Strong skills in assessing, utilizing, motivating and developing personnel;
Effective communication, motivation and leadership skills;
Analytical math and critical thinking ability;
PC literate including spreadsheets creation and utilization.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
