The selected candidate will work as a member of the Information Technology (IT) Architecture Group as a Solution Architect and is responsible for the technology design and deliverables of the company Web Redesign Project. The Web Redesign Project is foundational in creating one company brand ?look and feel? across all the web sites. The web is our highest customer interaction channel, serving more than 50% of our customer interactions and our most critical customer satisfaction channel.
Current State: Customers in our territory experience uniquely branded operating company web experiences across our territory. Internally, there is no insight into how well the transactions offered are working. The web customer experiences rank among companies lowest J.D. Power attributes.
Future State: The language, look, and feel for customer websites will be standardized through a common web design and navigation. Internally, there will be actionable insight where continuous improvement to the web transactions can be planned and executed. Company web customer experience will support top quartile J.D. Power customer satisfaction rankings.
Project Specific Role: The Solution Architect (SA) will work closely with the Project Manager of this specific project to organize the development effort and deliver technical solutions that satisfy the projects business objectives. The SA ensures that IT solutions meet current and proposed company architecture standards, develops conceptual, preliminary and detailed cross-functional design solutions and determines the application and technology requirements. The designs are reviewed with the SA peers in the architecture group and presented to both the project steering committee and company IT management at large. The SA collaborates with the Business Solutions Analyst (BSA) to determine the non-functional requirements of the solution, including availability and scalability. The SA assists with all phases of the Web Redesign project including design, build, test, and implementation.
Company follows a specific project methodology with deliverable templates which the SA uses.

Primary Job Functions for the SA:
(1) SA drives the translation of the business client's complex business problems into the selected technology solutions by designing complete solutions that leverage various IT services components.
(2) Researches possible solutions and alternatives for implementation of the project technology applications, business process problems, and technical problems, performs an analysis of alternatives, and leads the recommendation to a solution.
(3) Coordinates and develops systems integration designs for the project, including high-level and detailed system, application and technology diagrams.
(4) Aligns the selected technology solutions with the technical architecture, operational processes and lifecycle processes.
(5) Ensures that the IT solution fits with the current and planned enterprise architecture and standards.
(6) Creates solution architecture documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle of the solutions.
(7) Ensure that the project infrastructure is supportable and can be transitioned smoothly into production support organizations.
(8) Works with 3rd party vendors to ensure that deliverables are completed on-time and under budget.

Candidates MUST have the following Skills /
Experience:
(1) Candidate must have previous experience with large scale web site deployments.
(2) Candidate should have experience in the redesign/re-engineering of older technology web sites into modern web sites.
(3) Experience with the Telerik Sitefinity content management system is extremely desirable.
(4) Experience with interacting with a consulting vendor/system integrator for deployment of a large scale web site and web design project is desirable. Company has contracted with ZAG Interactive to perform this role for this project.
(5) Experience with deployment and implementation of cloud hosted web infrastructure is desirable.
(6) This position requires an extensive background in information technology along with excellent interpersonal, research, analysis, and communication skills.
(7) The individual must be comfortable working across business and IT product center domains and be able to demonstrate the ability to easily shift between technical analysis and business value discussions.
(8) Requires knowledge of systems development methodologies and systems integration methodologies.
(9) Requires knowledge of business application technical design and implementation.
(10) Experience with agile project management methodology is strongly desired. Manager would like

(7) Experience working at senior levels of management.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
