We are currently seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Fundamentals to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
This position is responsible for leading teams of regional and global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and sustain the content of the Manufacturing Fundamentals. It is also responsible for managing related documentation and communication. Additionally, it will be involved in developing the training material for the newly established fundamentals documentation and building a robust audit process for deployment and governance of the fundamentals. This position will deal with several levels of cross functional O-I management and will be a liaison between plants, regions, corporate manufacturing and engineering and O-I corporate management.
Principal Accountabilities:

- Facilitate and co-lead global SME workshops by discipline area to evaluate inherent risks of the manufacturing process, identify critical high-risk elements, and develop documentation to specify procedures and instructions that will minimize the identified risks
- Train SMEs and other personnel on the Manufacturing Fundamentals objectives and process
- Analyze new and existing equipment and processes to develop technical and other documentation
- Analyze and leverage global data to set goals, initiate projects, and identify high-risk components of the manufacturing process
- Communicate manufacturing issues, concerns and trends throughout the Global organization and lead document development and training around these concerns
- Ensure the effective use of Manufacturing Fundamentals training materials throughout all regions
- Mentor all regions in the use of quality and manufacturing evaluation tools, parameters and historical knowledge
- Participate on company management teams regarding improving manufacturing performance
- Develop and conduct global deep dive manufacturing and quality audits
- Each incumbent will be assigned a specific project or area(s) of focus. Subject areas could include but are not limited to:
R&D equipment, process or material instructions for plant use
Collect and document existing manufacturing practices in standard format
Develop and execute manufacturing and/or quality audit
Develop manufacturing and/or quality training programs
Quality equipment standardization, documentation and training
Regulatory compliance document standardization
New product development and marketing projects
Develop repository for quality and manufacturing specification and minimum requirement
compliance and exception approval documentation
Developmental quality and manufacturing equipment process and product evaluations
Scope and Impact:
- Incumbent will have input into capital expenditures for quality and other technical areas
- Decision-making responsibilities regarding Global procedures and best practices
- The department will impact product loss (approx. $75 million); quality claim amounts (estimated at $45 million), in non-quality measurements such as rework and non-quality scrap.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (engineering preferred) Masters degree preferred
- 10
years combined experience and education
- 5
years of experience in Manufacturing, glass industry preferred but not required.
- Green/Black Belt preferred
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Director of Manufacturing Fundamentals
Travel Requirements:
Up to 35% travel-domestic and international

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
