Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Sr. Network Engineer, to support our operations in Watertown, MA.

The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Plan, design, implement, monitor and maintain the operational health of the local and wide area networks.
Define, evaluate and approve design and/or configuration changes.
Install, configure, and support networking and security equipment from a wide range of industry leading vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, HP, etc.
Interface with multiple IT departments as the expert networking resource to assess, recommend, project plan and implement network solutions in support of business initiatives.
Proactively monitor and report on overall network service performance and take action to correct deficiencies in monitoring and controlling the quality of individual network services.
Create and maintain technical documentation including network design diagrams, operational procedures, knowledgebase documents, disaster recovery plans and training documentation.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
Provide highest level escalation expertise for network operations trouble resolution.
Adept at presenting technical designs, solutions, network health and purchase proposals to an audience of varying technical knowledge up to and including the CIO.
Act as the project lead for complex network engineering initiatives

Ability to evaluate new technologies and present a compelling business case.
Strong organizational, analytic, multi-tasking and prioritization skills

The Sr. Network Engineer must have the following skills:
Strong experience with routing/switching and firewall technology from the following vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, HP, etc.
Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
Network troubleshooting skills including troubleshooting complex routing and spanning tree issues. Issues with voice video and applications. Read sniffer trace and debug application conversations
The Sr. Network Engineer must meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
7-10 years of network engineering experience with at least 3 years in a senior or lead network engineering role responsible for a WAN/LAN environment of at least 50 nodes utilizing EIGRP, OSPF and/or BGP routing protocols.
Expert level experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches
Extensive firewall experience (PaloAlto is highly desired)
Extensive VPN management experience (Juniper & RSA)
Extensive experience supporting Cisco corporate and public Wi-Fi
Demonstrable experience reading packet sniffer traces and debugging application conversations
Demonstrable experience troubleshooting bandwidth utilization alarms and recommending solutions
Strong vendor negotiation and business relationship skills.
Strong Visio network design skills
Experience working in a SOX or PCI audited environment and incorporating best practices to secure data networks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during installations or configurations
