The Team Leader in Operations is responsible for ensuring operational optimization of facilities by extracting maximum value and working to find new revenue opportunities. The Team Leader Maintenance is responsible for work planning to ensure all preventive, predictive, and corrective work is completed for facilities so as to not impact operations.
Coordinates the activities of personnel in a self managed work team environment, engaged in the construction, maintenance and operation of a compressor station, measurement process and facilities, pipeline and related facilities on and offshore.
Responsible for the development and training of self and employees, coordinates task in such manner, that all employees have the opportunity to be exposed to on the job learning in all aspects of area operation/maintenance. Ensures implementation of a long range planning and scheduling process to achieve employee training and development.
Keeps team informed with all information to perform tasks in the required timeframe. Keeps management and HR informed on needs and concerns of the team as needed.

Serves on special teams to conduct studies such as; re-writing company PP Manuals to assure they are up to date with current operations, conducting inspections at pipeline locations to assure regulatory agency compliance and conducting inspections to assure pipeline reliability.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperations Focus:
Ensures optimization of operations in order to quickly respond to market demand
Works closely with Operations Manager and Analyst to advise Maintenance Organization and Engineering on opportunities to optimize assets maintenance plans, activities and schedules.
Meets/coordinates activities with contractors, Government agencies, landowners, vendors and others.
Conducts/coordinates emergency response.
Is a customer advocate. Works with the commercial group to seek business opportunities and communicates back to the group. Communicate competitor activities.
Meet and coordinate OM activities and capital with customers. Understands the budget in order to make cost-effective business decisions. Ability to understand and articulate the business needs and decisions.
Bachelors degree preferred or operational experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum five years prior work experience strongly preferred.
Technical/operational expertise in pipeline operations, regulatory compliance, gas quality, property protection, corrosion control, and storage operations, is strongly preferred.
Demonstrates effective leadership skills (see above for listing)
Supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and electronic communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively, often times communicating changes, complex issues or new ideas.
Understanding of the Transmission and Measurement operations, equipment usage and strategic value.
Knowledge of natural gas (overall energy) industry.
Necessary to have a good working knowledge of company policies/procedures as well as demonstrated knowledge of regulatory agency regulations/requirements.
Must be proficient in using PC including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes and Maximo. Includes willingness to use/learn current future systems/applications.
Proficient in use of Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Working knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, policies, and regulations desired.
Project management and process improvement skills desired.
Must be a licensed driver.

Office: Indoors 70%; 30% Outdoors. Sitting 70%, standing/walking/bending/lifting 30%. Field: Field work may require traversing over irregular terrain. Overtime and overnight travel will be required. Motor vehicle record check required. Must be available for call-out 24 hours per day. Certain locations require riding and/or operating boats.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
