This role is located in Federal Way, WA and reports to the ELP Manufacturing Director and requires close collaboration with our mill managers and maintenance leaders. The Maintenance Reliability Director will help our manufacturing nine-mill system close the gap between current and future state essential care practices and results.
The individual will have the preventive and predictive maintenance expertise to effectively guide each of the mills, with the goal of achieving world-class equipment reliability.
Key Functions:
Our essential care program includes the role of equipment operators in inspection and basic care of their equipment. From condition reporting, work order generation, planning, scheduling and execution, our maintenance team must have the tools and skills required to drive world class levels of reliability. The reliability director will help each mill assess their process, practice and skill gaps; establish standards and make recommendations to quickly improve. Reviewing root cause analysis reports and coaching maintenance leaders will be a key function. Making recommendations on appropriate metrics and tracking will ensure accountability within the essential care program.

Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field
A minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in mill maintenance work management, and maintenance workflow
Desire and capability to progress to additional leadership roles in Weyerhaeuser
Hands on experience with mechanical and electrical technicians and the ability to review their work for appropriate technique.
Role model safety leadership.
A proven track record of improving equipment reliability, store room and/or parts management.
Demonstrated knowledge of predictive maintenance methods including vibration analysis, advanced lubrication, precision alignment, infra-red thermography
A track record of collaboration in an industrial environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel across North America at 40-50% level
Desired:
Knowledge & experience working with SAP Plant Maintenance module and Proficy applications
Lean manufacturing certification
