We are currently seeking an Payroll Representative to join our team at our world headquarters in Perrysburg, Ohio.
This position is responsible for processing, balancing, reconciling, and confirming salary payrolls for United States and Canada timely and accurately.
Principal Accountabilities:
(All other duties as assigned)
Process semi-monthly and monthly payrolls in the US and Canada.
Enter all W4, direct deposit, other compensation, garnishments, and non-benefit deductions information.
Enter all salary personnel changes into Payroll/HR system.
Process manual checks as needed.
Provide assistance and support to internal departments in order to finalize the payroll.
Balance misc. deductions and send final documentation to appropriate parties.
Prepare and provide funding of the payroll(s) to Treasury/Banking.
Unemployment processing and employment verifications.
Work directly with external vendors to notify, investigate, or resolve Positive Pays, Stop pays, and ACH recalls/returns.
Balance gross payroll between Payroll/HR system, and General Ledger.
Create check requisitions for payroll deduction payments.
Provides back up for other payroll processing as needed.
Scope and Impact:
Processing the payroll timely and accurately keeping the company in compliance with federal, state, local, provincial, and labor laws while reducing the potential for fines, penalties, and or lawsuits.
Position Requirements
Education and
Experience:
High School diploma with 3-5 years payroll processing experience required, plant/manufacturing experience preferred.
Efficiency in Excel, and experience working with an ERP system.
Knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll law. FPC certification preferred.
Must be organized, detail oriented, possess strong communication skills, and able to multitask in a faced paced environment.
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Payroll Operations Supervisor. This position has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel required.
The selected candidate will work out of Perrysburg, OH, USA.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
