Facilitates successful design, installation, operation and maintenance of packaging equipment in order to achieve consistency, reliability, quality, and efficiency on a global basis. Provides packaging equipment technical expertise, and support, for applicable processes/products.
Provide technical expertise to all segments, regions, WPS, and facilities, in support of packaging equipment capital project execution, including technical leadership in scope, design, alternatives analysis, layout, equipment selection, training, procedures, installation, startup, performance acceptance, and successful turnover to plant operations.
Propose equipment and processes that may merit adoption as Cabot standards. Lead engineering design oversight in developing, reviewing, and maintaining the standards.
Responsible to manage key suppliers together with purchasing, develop new suppliers, and follow new technologies that might be applicable for Cabot.
Provide technical leadership to creation of reliability procedures for packaging equipment. This includes asset care, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and equipment tune-up/overhaul.
Provide engineering expertise and assistance to plants in analyzing, optimizing, and troubleshooting, equipment as needed (e.g., mechanical equipment assistance, fine tuning, process redesign, new technology development and application) for performance improvement.
Provide technical input for operations and maintenance training to ensure sufficient knowledge and capability exists on site for safe, efficient operation and troubleshooting of packaging equipment. Implement programs with WPS team to make sure local knowledge and capability is sustained.
Develop meaningful metrics for operation and share best practices across plants on packaging equipment operation and configuration.
Participate in Global WPS teams for carbon black, FMO, and Purification Solutions as required.
Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.

years' experience related to packaging equipment operation and maintenance. Experience with automated and integrated bag packing lines is preferred.
Technical knowledge of packaging equipment and materials. Demonstrated capability to quickly learn sophisticated packaging technology and configuration. (e.g., fully automated bag packers, automated palletizers, robotics, stretch hooding, and heat shrink machines; Programmable Logic Control including communication between components).
Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to gather, analyze, and draw, well reasoned conclusions. Capability to conduct effective root-cause analysis and implement resolution.
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written, for effective training and understanding.
Demonstrated inter-personal skills for working across regions and cultures, and various functions and levels, in the organization. This is critical to gaining alignment, buy-in, and establishing ongoing communication and rapport with manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and regions.
Ability to manage vendor relationships (e.g., 3rd party engineering, equipment suppliers).
Capability to effectively transfer technical knowledge to local personnel.
Demonstrated knowledge of interdependency of packaging equipment with the entire system (product, equipment components, bag design, people capability).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
