Job Description:
The Technology Resource Specialist is responsible for the technology resource services program in Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). In accordance with these responsibilities, the Technology Resource Specialist helps plan, direct, and assess the work of the technology resource teachers (TRT's) and their assistants, supports the review, acquisition and use of instructional technology software and software services, and the professional development in their use to support student achievement for grade levels K-12.
Responsibilities:
Directs, administers, and evaluates the tech resource services program; coordinates the selection , purchase, distribution, and effective use of instructional technology resources; administers policies regarding the use of these resources to include installed software as well as software as a service; oversees the TRT's and assistants
Develops and coordinates a technology integration program that 1) supports media and information communication technology (ICT) standards as articulated by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Foundation for 21stCentury Learning and 2) reviews and recommends a variety of media resources to include authoring and communication tools
Develops, provides, and evaluates professional development of TRT's and technology assistants (TA's) in the use of existing and new media technologies; participates in professional organizations and keeps instructional staff informed of issues and trends related to technology software and services and ICAT literacy; works with tech resource advisory council; supervises and coordinates the work of tech resource services staff
Works closely with curriculum and instruction (C&I) supervisors and other LCPS departments to provide coordinated instructional services

The Technology Resource Specialist reports to the Educational Technology and Curriculum Innovation Supervisor.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
