The Teacher I - Math is responsible for providing a success-oriented learning and/or skill-building experience for designated students. The Teacher I - Math participates in the development and implementation of the general and/or individualized education program appropriate to the developmental needs of the student, through appropriate assessment, testing, direct observation and a review of the relevant records, concentrating in the area of Math. This position would effectively evaluate the student's individual education plan through individual and/or group learning experiences. This position demonstrates specialized knowledge and a strong understanding of various instructional techniques and differentiates instruction to meet the varied learning styles and needs of students. The Teacher I is knowledgeable about state and local education standards to assure that education delivered meets all requirements and seeks clarification as needed. This position facilitates student success by demonstrating the ability to provide appropriate expectations and boundaries that promote and maintain a safe environment conducive to learning. The Teacher I recognizes and addresses aggressive student behavior and is trained and proficient in behavior management and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques, including the use of physical intervention (holds). The Teacher I is an involved member of treatment teams demonstrating cooperation with team members and others in order to facilitate positive and efficient outcomes. This position maintains all required record keeping to meet individual education plans and regulatory requirements, as well as attends meetings as required and is a willing participant in new initiatives and team activities. The Teacher I effectively works with a wide range of ages/grades, performs diagnosis and assessment of learning characteristics and develops appropriate instructional techniques to achieve desired outcomes. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. NYS Certified Teacher in Math 7-12 with 1 year of experience required. Bilingual Spanish speaking skills beneficial. Candidates must have valid NY State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
