Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a Project Manager in our Civil Engineering Department. The position is located in our Mt. Pleasant, SC office. The position requires strong understanding of civil site design preferably with residential communities. Knowledge of Civil 3D software preferred. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and P.E. required.
Typical Duties:
Client management.
Proposal preparations and fee development.
Develop and lead the execution of business and marketing plans.
Visit clients, jobsites and consultant offices as needed to support project and business development needs.
Monitor scope, schedules and budget for projects and business unit.
Managing engineering work and interface with other disciplines as needed.
Create scope of work for projects.
Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
Typically handles multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously.
May supervise other project managers & engineers and technicians.
Tracks projects in Vision/ Microsoft project with intermediate/advanced skill.
Actively participates in civic and professional organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study. Registered Professional Engineer.
Skills:
A successful track record of winning civil site design projects

years experience in civil site design.
A minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
A successful track record of project management, including development/management of scopes, schedules and budgets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership qualities.
Understanding of Business Financial Information
