Detailed Description
Our companies Environmental Catalysis Research department is responsible for the design and development of catalysts and adsorbents for the treatment and purification of emission gases from mobile (cares, motorcycles, etc.) and stationary (power plants) sources.
This position resides in a group within Environmental Catalyst Research that specializes in catalyst experimentation and computer modeling. The successful candidate will carry out modeling based research related to mobile emissions catalysis.
Responsibilities include:
Kinetic experimentation and computer modeling. The successful candidate will carry out modeling based research related to mobile emissions catalysis
Kinetic experimentation, kinetic model development, catalyst and emissions control system optimization, data analysis and reporting, and computer programming
In addition to performing research on assigned projects, the candidate is expected to interact effectively with other scientists, application engineers, and business people within the corporation. Occasional customer interactions such as presentations will also be required.
Qualifications:
-PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with no experience, or a Master's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 2
years related experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 3
years related experience
-Industrial or post-doctoral experience in kinetic and/or reactor modeling of heterogeneous catalytic systems is required
-Programming abilities and hands on experience with catalytic reactors is desired
-Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and work well in the team environment
-Must display initiative and have a strong drive for results, while always maintaining a focus on safety and quality

Programming abilities & hands on experience with catalytic reactors in desired
