Assists Engineers in maintaining environmental compliance for the refinery. This may include process data collection, file review, process instrumentation drawing review, field audits and environmental regulation review.
May also assist in the data and field management for the groundwater recovery system for the facility.
Communicates written and verbally with operations, engineering and maintenance departments at the refinery, state and federal agencies, trade organizations and corporate on issues affecting refinery operations.

Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Candidate must have earned at least 60 credit hours by time of internship. Graduation date of August 2015 through May 2017. Will be required to work 40 hours per week during summer internship.
All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). It is Valero's policy that employees must wear this card at all times while working at the refinery. Please review eligibility criteria at
