Responsibilities
The Network Controller will monitor and control gateway earth stations (GES); monitor GES operating parameters and take appropriate action to correct if not in normal range; ensure GES is properly tracking and connecting to the satellites. Also the Network Controller will monitor the status and health of the satellites; verifying the configuration of the satellite, and insuring they are configured and operating nominally.
Typical duties include:
Monitor the Satellite network.
Actively engage in fault isolation, fault management, performance monitoring, as well as active command and control of the WAN, core messaging hardware and software.
Take corrective actions as required to restore service.
Requirements
BS in a technical field or equivalent experience, preferred Aerospace or Electrical background
Demonstrated knowledge of signal theory.
Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX is desired.
