Process Engineer

Process Coatings Engineer sought after by an established tier 1 automotive supplier. This company is doing a tremendous amount of growing and is very financially stable. This a newly created, direct hire position due to the growth of the company. This person will utilize their experience and talents to provide engineering support in the area of coatings processes (paint, metallizing, e-coating, spray-coating) for new automotive product launches and development projects.
Responsibilities for the Process Engineer
Provide day-to-day technical support for the coatings processes in the plant
Coordinate the design and purchase of new equipment, and manage installation and start-up
Lead and/or support continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap and machine downtime; including analysis of data, tracking, and preparation of reports to document activities
Address internal and external customer complaints, conduct investigations, develop root cause analysis, determine countermeasures
Requirements for the Process Engineer
BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline
Be able to communicate with engineers and managers on all levels of authority.
Experience with a coatings process
