The scope of the Business Systems Implementation and Support Analyst family includes production support and development/ implementation responsibilities. Production support work is focused on maintaining/supporting the day-to-day existing functionality/ programs/applications. Work includes responding to end user/client problems/issues/requests within the application/system, supporting connectivity and interfacing issues with ancillary systems, and researching/ remediation of potential legal/patient safety issues. Development work involves implementing new functionality/programs/applications to support a business need. The process is typically project-based and involves all aspects of the project life cycle from inception to implementation. Projects range from small enhancement configuration changes to large scale implementations of vendor programs/ applications and work includes the ongoing support/ maintenance of the new functionality/programs/applications. Position includes: analytical research and critical thinking, reviewing/ analyzing vendor release notes for technical fixes and enhancements, recommending/designing/developing solutions, performing financial analysis and estimating requirements, analyzing efficiencies, performing configuration changes, conducting/supporting functional testing, debugging/ troubleshooting, reviewing and writing technical documentation, configuring/ deploying the program/ application/system update for implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Supports/maintains day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications including ancillary systems support and performs intermediate to advanced system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve end-user/clients issues, technical problems and potential legal/patient safety issues.
- Performs intermediate to advanced system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications for medical/financial operations understanding complete end-to-end system integration.
- Researches, configures, tests and implements complex new functionality/programs/applications to support a business need. Works with the test team throughout the development and implementation life-cycle.
- Mentors other technical analysts on troubleshooting issues of intermediate to advanced complexity and creating system design solutions.
- Performs financial analysis for cost/budget impacts related to new functionality/ programs/applications.
- Performs intermediate to advanced system analysis to analyze/research software vendor release notes (fixes and enhancements), newly submitted ideas, project changes, etc. and identifies/recommends specific system build configuration or work flow changes required.
- Creates thorough system design and build documentation.
- Performs all duties with minimal to no oversight.
- Collaborates with Medical Operations, Medical Groups, Vendor(s), National and Regional teams, KPIT and other internal KP departments.
- Performs advanced analysis using databases and data reporting tools.
- Grows expertise to support end to end data flow and Kaiser Revenue cycle processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience
- Minimum four (4) years of work experience in healthcare administration, science, engineering, education, information technology, business, a health care profession, or information resource management.
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience on at least one (1) Epic modules performing build, implementations, and Epic code upgrade involvement.
- Equivalent experience in other Information Systems performing build, implementations, and code upgrade involvement other than Epic may be considered.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in health care administration, science, technology, business, a health care profession, or information resource management OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and research skills.
- May fill at a higher level depending on qualifications.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience on at least one (1) Epic modules performing build, implementations, and Epic code upgrade involvement.
- Equivalent experience in other Information Systems performing build, implementations, and code upgrade involvement other than Epic may be considered in some type of medical record system preferred.
- Proficiency or certification strongly preferred in at least one (1) Epic module.
- May consider non-Epic information systems proficiency or certifications as a substitute.
- Will need to obtain at least one proficiency or certification within six (6) months of attend on the job Epic training.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of medical terminology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
