Gerdau is currently seeking a Plant Services Clerk for its Auburn, Washington facility.

Job
Summary:
Perform various scheduling, calculating, data input, record keeping, payroll, customer service and filing duties to provide clerical and administrative production support for the shop personnel. Prepare identification tags for fabricated products, assign, dispatch and coordinate customer deliveries, input inventory counts, process time cards and payroll information and maintain necessary material control records and receipts in accordance with established procedures and practice.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Review daily delivery schedule to prioritize work for shop after giving consideration to available shearing and bending equipment and manpower.
Coordinate, assign and dispatch customer deliveries to using the ASA tag procedures and SIS system.
Operate personal computer to prepare, process and print production identification tags for fabricated products. Sort and stage identification tags for shop superintendent or forward to shop personnel in accordance with established practices and procedures. Process tags using the ASA system to maximize utilization of current bar lengths, while minimizing scrap.
Create all bending and shearing forms needed to fabricate customer orders based on contract terms and agreed upon delivery schedules. Reschedule customer orders and deliveries as necessary or directed. Notify customers of any changes and input information into system.
Prepare customer-loading books for shop personnel and assign trailer numbers for each delivery.
Prepare traffic master plan to coincide with fabrication process to ensure timely and accurate loading of all trailers and materials.
Prepare customer delivery tickets and attach mill test certifications and other necessary paperwork as required for each trailer load scheduled for delivery.
On a daily basis, assign trailers to loads. Identify loads to be delivered by company drivers and ensure that delivered loads by company drivers are within acceptable mileage limits in accordance with company policy and practice.
Forward all customer delivery and pickup information to outside trucking firms each day. Attach a copy of the traffic master plan and delivery tickets for next day deliveries.
Call all customers to confirm next day deliveries.
Receive customer calls to provide information or respond to questions regarding the fabrication and/or delivery of customer products and materials. Use tact to avoid friction and to resolve scheduling or delivery problems. Maintain high standards of customer service.
Receive calls from Company drivers regarding delivery problems at job sites and make decisions regarding action to be taken within the limits of established practices and procedures. Refer unusual or serious problems to supervisor for resolution.
Responsible for rebar receipts and other material control information related to the fabrication, shipment and delivery of fabricated products and accessory items. Maintain accurate material system records and files.
Calculate hours worked from employee time cards, input hours worked into computer payroll system, print and review payroll analysis report, verify all hours worked and rates of pay applied and reconcile differences. Maintain payroll records and reports.
Calculate and prepare total fabricated tons report and forward results to superintendent.
Utilize personal computer word processing and/or spreadsheet software programs to perform basic production calculations, generate routine/repetitive reports or schedules, and to type letters, memos and other correspondence. Operate a variety of other office equipment to generate fabrication identification tags, production and payroll information, print reports and make copies.
Gather and input a variety production, manpower and delivery information to prepare various reports including inventory, man hours per ton, labor costs, payload, and total tons shipped, and maintenance and tonnage reports. Calculate scrap percentage.
On a weekly basis, receive inventory counts from supervisor, extends weights and inputs into computer to create physical inventory report.

Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or GED Required.
Two years prior office experience, preferably in a construction or related field is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; intermediate to advanced level skills with Excel is required. Experience with Pinnacle is a definite plus!
Excellent interpersonal skills; communicate effectively with employees, supervisors and customers.
Work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, complex environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work autonomously under the direction of field superintendent.
Able to troubleshoot and be resourceful in resolving any problems or issues that arise.
Able to multitask and manage time to meet deadlines and time constraints.
