The Sun Sentinel of South Florida seeks an assistant city editor with exceptional editing, digital and leadership skills.

This editor will supervise some of the paper's premier beats: state and federal courts, general assignment, and the Metro opinion columnist. This editor also will work closely with our Washington Bureau Chief to shape the focus of our national coverage.

The successful applicant will be a writer's editor with a proven ability to elevate the copy of seasoned reporters and help them target stories with the greatest reach and impact. Excellent line editing skills are a priority.

Equally important are strong digital skills. This editor must be passionate about breaking news quickly on the web, finding creative approaches to multimedia storytelling, and running our homepage during regular web management shifts.
This job demands strong organizational, communications, teamwork, staff development and leadership skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
