General Summary
Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions in the company. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer and internal requirements, as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
2. Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards, policies and procedures.
3. Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel
4. Reviews all network design changes, installations and IT disaster recovery
5. Maintains training for technical and non-technical topics for IT staff to remain knowledgeable of current IT related issues.
6. Participates on all hardware and software evaluations.
7. Effectively communicate with senior management and executive committees on topics related to budgets, vendors, examinations and the production environment.
8. Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.
9. Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
Required Skills/Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
(5) years experience within Information Technology
Demonstrated experience in Cisco, Citrix, IBM and Microsoft products consistent with an enterprise installation at a financial institution.
Preferred
Masters Degree in a security or management topic
(7) years experience managing an information technology department at a financial institution.
Experience with managing vendors and systems integrations across various platforms.
Operations experience in a financial institutions production environment.
Have the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences through speech and writing.
Maintain a broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies consistent with US financial institutions.
Supervision
Individual manages an IT staff of less than 10 members and is responsible for time dock management, monitoring vacation time and employee reviews.
Confidentiality
This position has access to both customer non-public and internal non-public data. The employee is required to always adhere to enforce the policies and procedures for handling sensitive data through example and the use computer security systems.
Responsibilities
An error in judgment could cause significant harm to the organization.
Contacts/Internal and Public
The employee will have contact with employees, customers, vendors, examiners, auditors, senior management and the Board of Directors. Discussed range from customer experiences to budget and policy topics.
Magnitude and Scope
With certain exceptions the employee can re-authorize existing IT contracts and approve non-hardware expenses up to one thousand dollars.
Working Conditions
Employee is expected to be able to perform in all aspects with regard to managing an enterprise data center with many satellite branches.
Equipment Operations
Employee is expected to be able to efficiently and correctly manage all enterprise network and computing platforms. Chiefly, Cisco, IBM, Citrix and Microsoft products, consistent with the network size, complexity, IT bests practices and the regulatory environment. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
