The Programmer Analyst position is an entry level position for a Knowledge Professional working in the Information Technology Services Division.
Under general supervision the Programmer Analyst:
- Codes and modifies standard programs
- Tests and debugs codes; maintains, and modifies computer programs.
- Performs entry level analysis and design of program
- Prepares user and application documentation for the use of new and revised systems, including operational documentation
- Assists in achieving the College's vision and mission
Customer focus, college service, and a willingness to assist as needed are expectations for all employees.
Required Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and one to three years experience in application development and programming; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Depending on the operational needs of the department, knowledge in the following areas is needed:
- Skills and abilities in programming and support.
- Skills in .Net, JavaScript, Object Oriented Programming, HTML, CSS, MSSQL.
- Skills in requirements gathering, designing, troubleshooting, and supporting users.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to effectively manage time, and communicate clearly.
- Ability to maintain a customer focus in providing technology services.
Preffered:
- Node.JS, REST/API, Azure, EC2.
- Associate or Bachelor degree. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
