Description/Comment:
The position requires hands on security audit of system hardening, testing & validation of security robustness of networks and applications. The solutions encompass Alcatel-Lucent 3G, 4G, IMS, IP routing and transport technologies, third party OS and applications.
This position requires the candidate to:
Plan and conduct hands-on product, solution, application security testing using a variety of commercial, open source and proprietary test tools, (e.g. Nessus, NMAP, McAfee Vulnerability Manager, Codenomicon, WebInspect etc.) validate results (e.g., elimination of false positives), and recommend solutions to mitigate gaps
Automation and optimization techniques to reduce test & analysis time, improve trustworthiness of results
Verify compliance of customer requirements and applicable industry best practices for authentication, encryption, and access controls etc.
Education/Certifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, security, engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of current communications industry, cyber security, technology , architecture, system engineering, testing, solutions, carrier wireless/wireline networks and applications
Security certifications: CISSP, CISA, CEH (or equivalent)
Additional Job Details:
Required technical skills: Vulnerability/penetration testing using tools such as Nessus, SAINT, etc. Protocol fuzzing using tools such as Codenomicon Web application security testing using tools such as IBM AppScan Vulnerability exploitation testing using tools such as Metasploit Hands on Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, services and IP network configuration Prior experience with Root cause analysis and software/ application security will be helpful Be an abstract thinker, able to devise test scenarios to evaluate security robustness of products outside normal operating conditions Unix, Windows, scripting, data analysis/ reporting techniques Excellent communication and documentation skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
