o Bachelor Degree in Education
o First Aid/CPR
o Previous childcare experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities
---------------------
o Follows and exemplifies the Smart Start Academy Circle of Care philosophy and Core Values.
o Is in good physical, mental and emotional health to perform all job duties satisfactorily, including engaging in physical activity, lifting children, etc.
o Implements lesson plans according to the curriculum and age level.
o Recognizes the needs of the children and takes care of them promptly.
o Creates an atmosphere that is positive for learning and that stimulates critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making.
o Maintains interaction with children at all times.
o Understands daily need for small group/whole group interactive learning.
o Conveys a positive attitude at all times while working with the children, parents and other staff members including administrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
