Position Objective
Tyler Technologies is seeking a Datacenter Engineer to join our Datacenter Operations team in our Yarmouth, ME office. The Datacenter Engineer is responsible for the all-around health and availability of the Tyler Datacenter Infrastructure and will serve as a troubleshooting resource for the IT Teams, the SaaS Teams, the Network Teams, the DR Team and other consumers of the Tyler Datacenter offerings.
Responsibilities
Perform storage configuration, monitor storage use, and assist Senior Datacenter Engineer with SAN tasks.
Ensure all automated monitoring tools are reporting as expected.
Monitor all automated processes, pre-defined backup logs, and routinely scheduled jobs for completion and performance.
Review the nDiscover nightly report, log any suspect activities and notify the responsible parties of required actions to be taken.
Configure and monitor for compliance the Actifio DR, backup & archiving system.
Speak with hosted clients and other Tyler professionals to research and escalate issues as needed.
Maintain SolarWinds, ExtraHop, Belarc, and other monitoring agents as needed.
Assist in maintaining the Operations Center Dashboard using PowerShell, Visio, Excel, Visual Studio C#, and SQL.
Assist in writing and configuring SolarWinds rules on various datacenter devices.
Evaluate alert definitions and assist in the development of departmental standards and process improvements.
Provide hands-on device maintenance such as component replacement, system testing, running cables and racking servers in the Yarmouth Datacenter.
Perform system-level configurations of VMware ESXi and Windows OS (port configurations, protocol configurations)
Qualifications
Associate's degree with a focus in computer science or related field, or 4
years of comparable work experience.
Prior system administration experience, preferably including VMware.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery Administration principles.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks logically in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Experience with any of the following a plus:
Vmware ESXi 5.x, vCloud Suite, vCloud Operations Manager, vCloud Automation Center
Cisco UCS, UCS Manager
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above
Microsoft Windows 2008 and above
Brocade SAN Switches; basic SAN technology
IBM XIV Storage devices
Hitachi HUS 130/150 Storage devices
Solarwinds, ExtraHop, Anue, Belarc, Wireshark, nDiscover, Syslog
The ability to work independently yet as an integral team member is a must. The successful candidate will be familiar with and adhere to a strict change request policy, with an eye toward never violating PCI, SSAE or other standards-based certifications maintained within the Tyler Datacenters.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
