Summary:
Supervises and coordinatesactivities of workers concerned with shipping and movement of turbine blades,storing, inventorying, ordering, receiving, issuing materials, supplies, tools,equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing thefollowing duties
Duties:
Plans and directsshipping/warehouse activities.
Facilitates a safe working environment. Understand and enforce HSE policies, procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure all employees are complying with established policies and procedures.
Implement best practices with regards to stock levels, WIP, inventory days and inventory levels.
Gathers, analyzes and manages material delivery to production based on production plan.
Gathers, analyzes and manages shipments of blades based on shipping plan. Determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
Assures shipping/warehouse is adhering to Quality standards.
Develops andimplements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operatingproblems and improve product quality and delivery.
Compiles, stores,and retrieves logistics data.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Maintains vehicle maintenance report.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
Compiles records of unfilled orders.
Posts weight and shipping charges.
Prepares bills of lading.
Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
Issues written and oral instructions.
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
Studies and standardizes procedures/process to improve efficiency, including corresponding documentation.
Maintains teamwork among workers and resolves grievances.
Adjusts errors and complaints.
Communicate and ensure all shipping teams safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites, to 90 day storage, within strict regulation requirements.
Ensure that all shipping teams inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests.
Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste.
And all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience :
Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree a plus, or two - five yearsrelated experience in Warehouse, Shipping/Transportation; or equivalentcombination of education and experience. Good skills with loading and driving heavy equipment. Needs to have background in transportation.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises approximately 30 employees in the Shipping/Warehousedepartment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with theorganization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includeinterviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, anddirecting work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Computer Skills :
General Microsoft skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Knowledge of MRP, Time systems, Supply Chain Systems
