Job Description
The Linux Server Engineer/Admin will establish and manage the end-to-end computing infrastructure lifecycle for critical applications within Dana-Farber's strategic Research Informatics programs.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

years of thorough knowledge and experience as hands-on systems engineer in coordinating and managing infrastructure projects and activities from end-to-end, with formal network, infrastructure and hosting management along with hardware/servers requisition, monitoring, support and future growth/scalability planning.
Expertise with virtualization technologies, such as VMware is a must. KVM (Red Hat) is a plus.
Virtualization Virtual Machine (VM) backups, snapshots, restores, networking VMs, and management of instances using vCenter consoles and also backend scripting and API access of Virtual machines is needed.
Network DNS name resolutions, Cisco hardware routing, and Linux based load balancing and network routing configuration knowledge is needed.
Experience in HIPAA security considerations for data a plus.
Experienced in the design of network-application layout across organizational boundaries, in private tunnels/networks using VPNs or other secure mechanisms, and accessibility considerations with multi-factor auth, federated security mechanisms all within compliance of security directives.
Experienced in Java, J2EE, .Net and open source (LAMP) stack based platforms and related application hosting and performance monitoring. Well-versed in working with multiple Hardware and OS combinations and support hosting on them.
Must be well-versed in supporting enterprise applications having Apache, Tomcat, BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, JBoss. Glassfish is a must. OpenESB, JCAPS or others would be a big plus.
Experience in Oracle and MYSQL is a must (MS-SQL is s plus) Server setup and high level system administration activities in support of the DBA is needed.
Must be strong in Linux (RHEL is a must and others), Sun-Solaris, Unix, IBM and Windows 2008, 2003, and Vista, both server and desktop.
Deep knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and DNS.
Must understand domains, TCP/IP, VPNs', and firewalls.
Outstanding and proven communication at all levels within an organization, good process skills required.
Familiarity with data security measures a plus.
Experience with servers hosting enterprise service bus and interface type enterprise integration tools is a plus
Data exchange services, including ETL tools and HL7E is a plus
Any healthcare domain experience is a plus
Linux System Administration, Sendmail.
Shell scripts (Bourne, C, Korn), PERL script.
Veritas NetBackup and Volume Manager.
Interest in researching open source bleeding edge technologies and concepts like Hadoop (Map/Reduce), NoSQL, column databases would be a big plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
