ASA is an Oxnard manufacturing company. We are looking for an individual to fill a position in the quality assurance department. This is a high visibility position and the person must have a 'can do' attitude and be a self starter who is able to take control and assume responsibility for achieving tasks successfully and on time.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Measure and inspect in-process, finished product, components and assemblies for accuracy and to verify adherence to engineering specifications.
Mark items for acceptance or rejection and record test results and inspection data.
Perform quality audits to ensure processes, procedures and quality systems are being followed.
Perform calibration on assigned inspection tools.
Read and interpret materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals and blueprints to determine inspection and test procedures.
Requirements will include:
A minimum of 4 yrs of work-related skill, knowledge or experience.
Able to read/interpret prints and perform basic shop math.
Complete required reports regarding part measurements and visual cosmetic conditions.
Perform work in a timely manner, while keeping quality the highest priority.
Able to follow all quality procedures, work instructions and training given by the organization.
Assist as needed with all department responsibilities.
Basic knowledge of excel and word.
Desired experience with operating both a fixed position Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and a portable CMM; i.e. Faro Gauge or ArmEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
