Position will start in Simsbury however at some point will move to Hartford
Job Description:
Approx. 60%:
Write (primarily) product focused web content. Significant direction and source material will be provided. Writer will need to craft into coherent stories in singular voice and tone.
Approx. 25%:
Write social media posts and descriptions for Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Approx. 15%:
Variable writing (ie: email) and editing assignments on an as needed basis.
The writer in this position will primarily be responsible for creating copy for our new web site. Minimal research will be needed most source material will be provided and it will be the responsibility of the writer to craft it into clear, coherent, and consistent web copy. In addition, we may ask the writer to help us with social media posts, descriptions, emails, editing and proofreading tasks on an as needed basis.
Must Haves:
At least 5 years writing experience.
Solid web writing experience.
Some social media writing background.
Self-starter, should be able to work independently.
Nice to have:
Insurance and / or financial services industry experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
