JOB
Summary:
Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the USAF ISR Sustainment Engineering Center at Robins AFB, GA. This technically diverse position will be responsible for the requirements capture, design, systems integration/build, and deployment of Motion Imagery (MI) related products and systems. Unix/Linux and Windows Systems Administration experience is mandatory for this technically challenging opportunity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be used for client interface, briefings, training, and presentations. Any experience with motion imagery (MI) software and systems is a big plus in addition to having a working knowledge of and experience supporting the USAF DCGS enterprise.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
On-call system trouble isolation and resolution including trouble shooting systems in the field to assure MI system availability
Specifying computer and video hardware and software components to meet unique and specific customer requirements.
Build-up of MI Processing systems from component hardware, setup, configuration, system/application software installation, and final integration and integrated factory test.
Installation and integration of MI systems at customer sites to include site and mission specific setup and configuration.
Site acceptance testing of installed MI systems.
User and system administration training of MI systems.
On-call system trouble isolation and resolution including trouble shooting systems in the field to assure MI system availability.
Travel to Leidos locales will be required at times for necessary job and product training .

Education: B.S degree in a technical field and 7
years relevant systems administration / systems integration experience. Equivalent education and experience will be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree. Candidate must possess a CompTIA Security
certification or equivalent.
Must have at an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
7
years of directly applicable experience including Unix/Linux and Windows systems and network administration.
Experience with WANs, LANs, routers, firewalls, and switches.
Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Experience with documenting systems and networks.
Knowledge of hardware and software analytical tools and techniques.
Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle development and integration processes and procedures
Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
Experience with system integration, testing, and validation.
Experience with deploying system service packs and security updates.
Experience designing, planning, deploying, and troubleshooting issues in highly-scalable, highly-redundant environments.
Strong organizational, documentation, project management, and communications skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting utilizing systems integration experience on medium and large projects.
Ability to work within the customer's facility and under constraints and schedules demanded at that facility.
Ability to introduce and integrate new concepts and products at the customer's facility and train personnel for incorporation into their operations.
Ability to interact with the SAIC product development team to improve concepts and products and test new enhancements at the customer site.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Experience working in the Geospatial Intelligence community.
Knowledge and/or experience with shell scripting, Oracle or Sybase database administration, Java and Perl.
Knowledge and/or experience with information assurance concepts and principles.
