Our client located in Schaumburg, IL is looking for a Network Administrator with IIS to join their Information Technology Team, and will be an administrator for the organization's web-facing systems, including development, staging, and production clusters. The ideal candidate will have excellent administration experience on Microsoft Servers and have an understanding of web programming fundamentals. Responsibilities:
Production and development support of Windows servers. Support systems serving Applications to international and domestic users.
Making decisions on problem resolutions in critical downtime situations when escalation is impractical.
Rotating on call support of production infrastructure and applications. Business hours support for development systems.
Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
Help developers leverage infrastructure and application platform features and functionality. Assisting developers in debugging applications.
Using monitoring tools to find problems spots and resolving or escalating issues to developers when necessary.
Develop, implement and oversee solutions, processes and procedures that enable us to achieve and measure SLAs (performance, availability, etc.)
Research and resolve third-party integration partner issues
Requirements:

years of hand-on experience in web server administration (Windows/IIS/Active Directory/Etc.)
Thorough working knowledge of Windows operating systems and hosting web applications on IIS.
Application clustering / load balancing technologies
Firm grasp of client side development using JavaScript (understanding of how modern web applications function)
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
A big-picture thinker who can also sweat the details
The ability to work well with a small team on multiple simultaneous projects and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff members is required, as well as good writing skills and communication skills.
Some .Net development experience, can be light, but some exposure is important.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with major mobile platforms (iOS / Android)
Some scripting experience.
Familiarity with high availability web topologies
Experience with supporting Content Management Systems / Learning Management Systems / E-Commerce platforms
Experience with virtualization technologies (a strong plus)
Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, ODBC, ColdFusion, SQL, HTML, XML
Understanding of Web services
Familiarity with web security best practices

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
