The Global Surgery Group is comprised of the following businesses within Johnson & Johnson: Ethicon Surgical Care, Ethicon Energy, Ethicon Biosurgery, Acclarent, Biosense Webster, Cordis, Mentor and Sterilmed. With annual sales of $11 billion, the Global Surgery Group is the world's largest, most innovative surgical company. The strength of the Global Surgery Group is illustrated by the fact that more than 80% of our sales come from businesses with #1 or #2 global market share positions. We serve customers around the world, with about 60% of our sales generated outside the U.S., including a fast-growing presence in emerging markets. Engineering Co-op positions are available in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Quality Engineering. The Ethicon Engineering Co-op program provides each student with a great support system, as well as the opportunity to network with people from throughout the country.
Co-op rotations are available starting Spring (January - May), Summer (May - August), and Fall (August - December) 2015.
Qualifications
Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during all Co-op rotations is required. Actively pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering/Technical academic major is required. Completion of at least freshman year of undergraduate academic program is required. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Co-op rotations is required. Availability to work a minimum of three alternating semester co-op rotations is required (i.e. Spring 2015, Fall 2015, and Summer 2016; Summer 2015, Spring 2016, and Fall 2016; or Fall 2015, Summer 2016, and Spring 2017). A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 (based on 4.0 scale) is preferred. Demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities is preferred.
Co-op position is located in Cornelia, Georgia. Ability to commute to/from this work location is required. A stipend will be offered to students that meet the commuting distance eligibility requirements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
