Job Description
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional working experience with all aspects of MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database development in a cloud/3
tier enterprise application environments. Minimum 3 years of Dimensional Data Warehouse design and implementation experiences are required. This candidate must have hand-on experience working with software engineering groups, to design, implement, debug and tuning of MySQL, SQL Server and Data Warehouse in the field.
Responsibilities
Design, maintain and build logical and physical database models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
Debug, optimize and tune database.
Design database objects, develop SSIS, procedures, functions, triggers, dynamic queries, and work with developers to implement complete solutions.
Reverse engineering, develop and maintain database change control, documentation, and processes based on policies, guidelines and standards.
Participate in the requirements specification process with project teams to help define technical requirements, scope, and limitations.
Plan and conduct structured unit testing of database designs to confirm functionality and performance.
Design, implement and test database backup, restore, disaster recovery, database integrity, and security.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in SQL Server 2008 enterprise on Windows 2005 and 2008 environments.
Extensive experience in MySQL 5.6 on Linux operating system environment.
Experience in a complex, distributed, heterogeneous computing environments, in VM/hardware platforms, Windows/Linux OS, multi-database systems and network environments.
Extensive database schema design experience, and proficient in debugging, identifying root issues, performance tuning and optimization using native/3

party monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with dimensional data warehouse design and implementation.
Experience with replication, mirroring, database clustering, partitioning, log shipping, and data encryption.
Experience with SSIS, large database dumps, batch jobs processing and data transformations
Deep understanding of internal database system objects, indexes, and statistics.
Experiences with source control systems and release processes in parallel release/deployment environments.
Knowledge of noSQL, specifically Hadoop, MongoDB, MapReduce, Talent ETL, Sqoop tool is a plus.
Knowledge of .Net, C# and Java programming languages is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulating.
Self-motivated, great team player, and able to work independently.
