Summary:
The Candidate serves as the 724 STG OPE Operations Expert, OPE Troop, assisting the Government with coordinating with other units, theater activities and agencies, regarding capabilities, plans, policy, exercises, and strategy in support of OPE Troop activities, at the direction of the government. Serves as special missions subject matter expert.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist with facilitating and planning in support of Course of Action (COA) and Concept of Operation (CONOP) development and subsequent operations on a global scale, as directed by the Government. Employee will assist with planning, organizing and conducting analytical studies, developing nationally significant plans, policies and exercise, and formulates strategy and future concepts for 724 STG OPE forces involved in theater operations. Work involves coordination and consensus building with other U.S government agencies and foreign embassies. Employee routinely applies a thorough knowledge of diverse special mission forces, missions, and capabilities. Work entails continuing liaison with representatives of other commands, agencies, and countries. Decisions made and actions taken are made more difficult by changing international or interagency roles, complex relationships controversial issues and national priority missions.
Required
Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
Current TS/SCI clearance.
Expert knowledge of Preparation of the Environment (PE) Operations as demonstrated via no less than 5 years' experience within PE Operations as either a staff officer or operator.
Knowledge of operational security of worldwide sensitive Special Tactics support and employment mission requirements, including (but not limited to) assault zone survey, weather collection and time sensitive targeting in support of command objectives.
Expert knowledge of mission, organization and interrelationships of Department of Defense, joint staff, and interagency working groups as demonstrated via no less than 5 years' experience within this area.
Detailed knowledge of national policies and doctrine concerning special mission unit operations in order to develop and coordinate operational plans and policies for the command, as demonstrated via no less than 5 years' experience working within this area.
Extensive special operations experience, including in-depth, first-hand experience of no less than 5 years working with special operations unit activities.
Firsthand knowledge and expertise with Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) exercises, special mission unit exercises, and emergency deployment readiness exercises to develop scenarios, concepts, and integrate strategic, operational and tactical levels of participation.
