Provides clerical support in the pediatric dental specialty care. Involved in all aspects of the patient scheduling, registration, billing and check-out process. Significant telephone call management. Types and processes correspondence and prepares patient electronic files.
Ability to work in a fast paced work enviornment and multi-task to serve customers on telephones and face-to-face
Familiarity with physician office scheduling and billing systems
Provide both telephone and written responses for all inquiries for the Pediatric Dental program
Prepares key paperwork, assuring that registration and billing information is completed
Performs typing, billing, ordering supplies, data entry
Maintain electronic and hard copy files in support of patients and staff
Experience in pediatric setting
2 years in medical/dental office setting
Associates Degree/secretarial training
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required
Proficient at Typing, Microsoft Word
Excellent written and verbal communication, delegation, prioritization skills with the ability to think independently
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Must be able to work with electronic medical health records
Familarity with Dentrix system a plus. Fluent in both English and Spanish
