Field Representative, Georgia and South Carolina-P4
The incumbent will service, promote, explain and enhance participation in NRECA's Insurance & Financial Services sponsored group benefits plans and retirement benefits plans. You will play a key local educational and facilitation role with member cooperatives on behalf of I&FS; specifically and NRECA generally within and throughout your assigned territory. The Field Representative must reside in Atlanta, GA.
Purpose and Mission

You will be directly responsible for managing the Insurance & Financial Services relationship with each member cooperative within an assigned geographical territory.
The field services responsibilities include sales, service of co-op specific group and retirement programs, benefit and plan design consulting support and participant education within the assigned territory. The assigned territory is part of a larger multi-state region assigned to a Regional Director. The Regional Director provides mentoring, coaching and ongoing supervision and direction to the Field.
Additionally, as the local Field Representative you will prepare and make presentations to cooperative management and to employees about group insurance benefits, retirement plans and a broad array of NRECA services. This position requires professional and technical knowledge relative to all group employee benefits plans, defined benefit retirement plans, defined contribution benefit plans and non-qualified employee benefits and total compensation strategies.
This position is responsible for the South Carolina and Georgia field territory. The Field Representative is required to live in Atlanta, GA.
This position is responsible for ongoing contact with cooperatives within the assigned territory. Travel is required approximately 80%-90% of the time. Travel requirements periodically involve meetings in Arlington, VA and other sites outside of the assigned territory.
Requirements and Qualifications
Maintain and grow employee benefits product penetration within the territory.
Educate cooperative management and employees about all features, benefits and advantages of NRECA employee benefits products and services to maximize the added value of the NRECA business model for all participants.
Establish a schedule of periodic visits and other contacts with cooperatives on a regular, predictable basis incorporating statewide meetings, NRECA regional meetings, the NRECA Annual Meeting and Benefits Update Conferences in addition to onsite co-op visits.
Achieve an overall customer satisfaction score of at least 4.25 (out of 5.0) in the first biennial Field Staff Customer Satisfaction Survey among CEOs and Benefits Administrators conducted following the first full year in this position.
Provide creative and strategic input into product development and overall I&FS; planning activities from the member cooperative perspective.
Maintain professional licensure and met or exceed all applicable continuing education requirements.
Primary Selection Criteria
Bachelor's Degree required. Prefer additional recognized professional designation including CLU, ChFC, CFP, CFA, CEBS and other similar designations within the employee benefits field.
Eight to ten years of combined experience in group benefits and qualified and non-qualified retirement programs sales and service.
Extensive experience in negotiating, collaborating and working with individuals to build lasting professional relationships with decision makers.
Demonstrated ability to relate to customers in the Board Room and on the shop floor.
Superior communications skills, presentation skills and analytical skills.
Life and Health License.
