Cinder Solutions is looking for a solid Software Engineer to fill a position for one of our direct clients in Vancouver, WA. This is a full time, 40 an hour a week position that offers a full competitive benefits package that includes PTO and Healthcare coverage.
Senior Software Engineer - Linux Kernel Developer
We are looking for an expert in the Linux kernel to implement and optimize a device driver for Ethernet networking with a custom NIC that is still in development. The successful candidate will have an unequalled opportunity to make an impact on product decisions and even direction. If you can speak skbuf fluently and dream about zero-copy, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
Implementing and optimizing a network driver for Linux
Providing feedback to FPGA engineers and participating in design discussions on both parallel software efforts and the FPGA design
Minimum qualifications
o Motivated, self-starter, able to take ownership of a major function
o Demonstrated expertise in Linux network drivers
o Low-level hardware device programming
o Technical leadership and providing guidance to junior engineers
o Familiarity with PCIe devices
Experience in setting up and running common performance tests like netperf, NFS throughput, etc.
Qualifications:
o Start-up experience
o Embedded development
o Experience with Infiniband or iWarp
FPGA familiarity

8am-5pm
