TITLE: Afton Manufacturing Representative
FUNCTION: Operations
REPORTS TO: Senior Manufacturing Manager
LOCATION: Orangeburg, South Carolina
JOB
Summary: Responsible for ensuring that Albemarle runs the mmt process safely, efficiently and in compliance with the service agreement.
Manufacturing/Supply (60%):
Liaison between Afton and Albemarle plant personnel for supply issues
Ensure mmt unit is in compliance with Afton's HSES standards and regulatory requirements
Aid in daily troubleshooting - provide help to Albemarle Operators, Coordinator, and Leader
Work with suppliers on RM quality and supply issues for CO, MCP, Na, DMC
Product shipments - provide Traffic with plan and requests orders from customer service for all products (H3000, H3091, residue)
Responsible for safety, productivity and efficiency
Responsible for inventory management, customer satisfaction, on-time shipments, and product quality
Support Afton teams during various assessments/audits
Focuses on reducing the costs and sustainability initiatives
Process Engineering (15%):
Liaison between Afton and Albemarle plant personnel for engineering related issues
Generate process data for engineering
Focuses on continuous improvement and process enhancements.
Provide support to technical team for improvements and MOCs
Help improve the process efficiency
Project Engineering (25%):
Liaison between Afton and Albemarle plant personnel for projects
Provide support during scope development, design, and projects phase
Provide project management support as needed on approved projects
Other duties as assigned.
BS degree in Chemical Engineering
7-10 years relevant work experience in Manufacturing
Effective leadership skills and the ability to work productively in a cross functional team environment
Strong HSES background
Influencing, negotiating and diplomacy skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to effectively solve problems and resolve conflicts
Organizational skills and is able to prioritize work, develop appropriate time lines and work to deadlines
Effective oral and written communication skills
Able to travel as required
Skills, software knowledge and/or certifications specific to the industry/function
Ability to manage others
