Your daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for supervising all retail and bakery sales operations including planning, buying, inventory, and cost of sales and gods
Assists with overseeing the day to day operations of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, operational audits, equipment operation, guest relations, and transactions
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Counts material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in stock, and posts totals toinventory records
Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as salesorders, production records or purchase invoices, to obtain current inventory
Ensures that merchandise is delivered from the warehouse in order to keep the Gift Shop well stocked and resolves problems related to shipping or receiving of merchandise
Inspects merchandise received and records the date and items received on the appropriate inventory records
Responsible for monthly inventories and compiling records for the Accounting Departmentso that end of month reconciliation may be properly maintained
Ensures that inventory storage areas are adequately maintained, organized, neat, and clean
Reports problems and/or discrepancies with inventory to F&B; Manager
Ensures that retail displays are maintained and all merchandise is neat, clean, andattractively displayed
Maintains a working knowledge of Boomtown's special upcoming events so that stocklevels are adequate for the event
Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all team members and guests, by setting a positive example at all times
Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation
Responsible for assisting clerks with customer purchases and returns
Responsible for operating and balancing cash register (i.e. all monies, coupons, comps andreceipts) AS NEEDED
Required to seek out, meet, and set up new product vendors
May assist in supervising front of house Buffet and/or Grill operations
Accountable for meeting or exceeding all State and Company sanitation requirements (ServSafe)
Any and all duties as assigned by the F&B; Manager or a member of management
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 21 years of age
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Requires at least two years retail/merchandising experience, along with supervisory experience
Requires good math, communication, and strong supervisory skills
Must be familiar with use of cash register, adding machine, and have working knowledge of computer, database software and inventory software
Requires excellent customer service skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
This position requires CARE Certification
Must have effective organizational skills
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; and to respond to requests for service and assistance
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings
Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values
