Quality Engineer
Provides technical support in assigned phases of various programs intended to assure the quality of products. Activities involve areas such as Gage R&R, Capability Analysis, Correlation Analysis, design of experiments, process control of product, process controls planning, Corrective action of defective parts or units, developing control plans and statistical techniques.
Uses Six Sigma Methodology to reduce process variations. Originates and/or evaluates new inspection equipment and oversees installation and initial use. May compile and write training material and conduct training on quality control activities.
Principal Accountabilities:
Customer Support:
Prepares and implements quality assurance control plans associated with manufacturing requirements.
Assures that specific controls are established and properly integrated with the applicable development and production phases of assigned problems.
Provides liaison with other areas such as Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and
Marketing and Customer Representatives in the solution of quality concerns.
Manage & Process Customer production line reject claims and drive improvements in product teams to achieve customer satisfaction.
Problem Solving / Facilitation
Lead 8D with cross-functional teams
Work with quality technicians, process engineers, and other staff to implement quality enhancements to products and processes.
Continuous Improvement
Performs activities involved in qualitative or quantitative analyses of defective work, scrap and unit failures or rejections; develops trend lines, charts, and other statistical data to assist efforts toward continued quality products.
Lead/Participate Quality Audits and help improve the process.
Change Management Approver
Reviews specifications and/or engineering drawings involving the establishing of design and quality goals. Reviews and make decision on Process/Engineering changes for impact on quality objectives.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Devises or develops special inspection or test equipment and oversees installation and initial use as assigned.
Trains factory employees, as necessary, in specialized inspection techniques.
Participates in design review, drawing and specification approvals and disposition of non-conforming materials.
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
Conducts analysis of failures in the field. Traces reasons for failures and makes
necessary contacts to insure that corrective action is taken.
Provides periodic report as assigned on problems and their solutions for distribution to Quality assurance and other management personnel.
Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.
Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy.
Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance.
Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance.
Applies creative approaches and idea to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources.

Position
Qualifications:
Required Education:
B.S. / M.S in a related degree from 4-year College or university, and 3
years related experience
And / or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Trained in Six Sigma Methodology.
Knowledgeable of SPC, FMEA, Control plans , DOE, QFD, Gage R&R, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke techniques & change management.
Specialized Training:
Familiar with basic SAP quality related modules, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Change Management (CM), and standard quality tools (Gage R&R, Capability studies, Control Plans, etc.). Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word software.
Data Mining with Excel / Minitab, Lead Auditor.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
